Watkins Distributing is a family owned and operated beverage distribution company that has serviced Idaho and Montana for four generations.
Job Summary:
The merchandisers travel to grocery stores and other beverage outlets to ensure our products are stocked, displayed and rotated correctly in accounts along their route. The manager would be responsible for training these employees, while also being in the field when needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage a team of eight employees, which involves training and scheduling routes
Responsible for communicating with sales and delivery supervisors to ensure proper market coverage
Must be able to interview and hire new applicants, with assistance from HR department
Work with store-level managers to ensure we are providing quality service
Handle a wide array of different beverage products, safely and efficiently
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Self-motivated, and great communication skills
Enjoys a job where they are active and moving around often.
Organized, with attention to detail
Prefers a flexible, dynamic job, as this is not a 9-5 “office job”
Physical Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations
Must be able to lift 20-30 pounds at times.
