Corporate Resources, on behalf of our client located in Lisle, IL, is hiring a full-time, permanent Benefits Specialist.
Benefits Specialist – Lisle, IL
$70,000 - $80,0000/Annually and full benefits
Job Description:
- Manage all aspects of employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other fringe benefits.
- Coordinate enrollment, changes, and terminations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage leave programs available to employees.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits programs.
- Provide guidance, assistance, and resources to help employees understand their benefits.
- Develop and deliver effective communication strategies to educate employees about their benefit options, changes, and updates.
- Organize informational sessions, workshops, and materials to promote understanding and engagement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee benefits records, including enrollment information, coverage elections, and beneficiary designations.
- Generate reports and analytics to track utilization, costs, and trends for management review.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of existing benefits programs and recommend enhancements.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to stay informed about industry trends.
- Provide support to the HR Director with workers’ compensation as needed.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Adhere to Policies and Procedures per our Employee handbook.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in benefits administration.
- Excellent presentation skills, communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP) and Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred.
- Ability to travel – 1 to 3 overnight trips during open enrollment
