Automotive Mechanic

  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues and provide accurate assessments of necessary repairs.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with manufacturer standards and safety guidelines.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings and recommended repairs. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other mechanics and automotive professionals to share knowledge and expertise, particularly in solving complex technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training from a vocational school or technical institute in automotive technology is preferred.
  • Certifications: Certification from a recognized automotive program (e.g., ASE certification) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, particularly with European makes and models. Experience with diagnostic tools and software is essential.
  • Skills: Strong technical and mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are crucial.
