Key Responsibilities:
Execute audit procedures for various clients
Prepare and review work papers and financial statements
Assist in planning audit engagements and developing audit programs
Communicate with clients to gather information and discuss audit findings
Mentor and supervise junior audit staff
Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers
Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies
Contribute to the firm's quality control processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure
3-5 years of public accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office suite
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills:
Experience with clients in industries relevant to Long Island (e.g., real estate, manufacturing, nonprofit)
Familiarity with data analytics tools
Knowledge of New York state-specific accounting and auditing regulations
