Audio Visual Technician
We are looking for an AV Technician, who must be a critical thinker and problem-solver with great attention to detail. They must be knowledgeable in AV technology fundamentals and basic AV/IT support and troubleshooting. Excellent customer service, communication, and people skills are required.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for video conferencing systems (Microsoft Teams Rooms/Cisco Video Endpoints) in conference rooms
- Provide advice on the most suitable multimedia choices for users in conference rooms
- Work with Crestron, Microsoft, and Cisco control panels and conferencing systems
- Setup and support Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Zoom, and other collaboration meeting applications
- Install/configure software & hardware (video cables, wireless presentation systems, mgmt. suites, etc.)
- Perform troubleshooting and basic repairs of conference room equipment as defined through our SOPs
- Respond to end user requests/issues and perform restorative actions to resolve problems
- Collaborate with other AV/IT professionals and vendors to maintain standards and functionality of meeting spaces
- Proactively monitor AV systems and technology performance through various monitoring tools
- Monitor the AV support schedule, prioritize requests, and schedule accordingly
- Provide ongoing communication and updates to AV/IT support staff and leadership on issues regarding conference room technology
- Respect and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
Job Requirements:
- BS/BA in information technology or computer science is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an AV related field preferred
- Working knowledge of AV/IT collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.)
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Virtual Live Events and other virtual large event platforms preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management (including executive level)
- Ability to troubleshoot audio and video conference calls
- Proven experience with AV/IT end user support
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of AV control systems (Crestron, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco video endpoints, etc.)
- Consultative approach with end-users to address problems and assists in formulating solutions to ensure meeting success
