Great opportunity for a Litigation Associate to work in-house, fully remotely and to transition into a Corporate Generalist.
Our client, an international corporation, headquartered in Connecticut, seeks to hire an in-house counsel to join their lean legal team. Candidates who reside in the Northeast are preferred (Connecticut, Massachusettts, DC, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware).
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of BIGLaw experience in Litigation, however the role will be functioning as an in-house generalist.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support business groups, anticipating and addressing complex legal and business issues, and serving as a key strategic partner and advisor to business.
•Provide legal advice to the company in the areas of strategic litigation management, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
• Creatively solve problems and coordinate across business teams.
•Advise the Company and its subsidiaries in creating workplace policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws.
•Understand business requirements and the Company’s risk tolerance.
• Use outside counsel effectively and guide escalations to appropriate senior leaders in order to take well-informed risks to address business needs.
• Stay informed of rules, regulations, and other statutory requirements relating to our client’s business.
•Collaborate with team members to share learning and experiences.
Education & Experience
•JD from an accredited law school.
•A member in good standing at least in one state
•Required Experience: 3-5 years of litigation experience. Candidates with Litigation experience representing clients against a government agency, for example, SEC litigation, FDIC litigation, Antitrust Litigation etc. are strongly preferred.

• Openness to adapting practice in response to evolving business. Flexibility to learn new legal areas.
•Litigation management; corporate governance; compliance; investigations; and labor & employment compliance matters.
Compensation: Base of 185K and Bonus
