Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Colorado Department of Education certification.
A minimum of three years coaching experience in a Public School setting.
Successful completion of all CHSAA requirements for the position.
Effective reading, written, and oral communication skills required
Effective technology skills to communicate via email
Maintains Colorado Driver’s License and District vehicle certification

Responsibilities And Duties
Supervise the district athletic programs and activities.
Creates and distributes schedules and is responsible for the hiring, payment, and scheduling of officials.
Develops the athletic budget with the principal and finance officer.
Maintains records for all school sports (eligibility forms, physical forms, athletic codes, CHSAA materials, athletic purchase orders, clothing/equipment purchase requests, rosters, competition information, ensures that all inventory is returned following each athletic season and that no coach is paid prior to the inventory being secured.
Coordinates transportation requests between the Transportation Director and coaches.
Stays current and knowledgeable on all district policies, CHSAA rules, & regulations. Attend League meeting and represent the school in league matters concerning by-laws, schedules, and other issues. Reports results of the meeting to Administration and necessary coaches.
Insure that Primero is compliant with all district and CHSAA regulations.
Supervises all coaches, including certification requirements, testing, and responsible for evaluation of all coaches each season.
Coordinates public relations including media, athletic fundraising/marketing, athletic calendar posters, event concessions (coordinate with sponsors).
Athletic Director will be the Letterwinner Sponsor. Letterwinner’s club will host Junior High Basketball Tournament and the Athletic Banquet.
Works closely with the principal in the overall coordination of building activities.
Encourages school spirit and involvement.
PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Terms Of Employment
Twelve month work year.
Salary and benefits to be determined by the Approved Extra Duty Salary Schedule.
