Position Summary

As an Associate Vice President of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Healthmap Solutions, you will lead the strategic and operational direction of our Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics group. We are seeking a visionary leader with proven experience in scaling BI capabilities in the health services sector to drive data-driven decision-making processes that support our mission of delivering exceptional health services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the BI and Analytics team, providing strategic direction and operational oversight to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, including the integration of advanced analytics and data engineering practices.
  • Scale the BI function to support growing operational needs, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify business needs and opportunities, translating these into actionable data-driven strategies and projects.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of BI and analytics systems and platforms that effectively capture, integrate, analyze, and present health-related data.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the BI team, encouraging the adoption of state-of-the-art analytics techniques and tools.
  • Manage the budget, resources, and priorities of the BI and Analytics department, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations specific to the health services industry.
  • Mentor and develop a team of BI professionals, setting clear goals and expectations and providing opportunities for growth and learning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a BI or data analytics role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position scaling BI functions within the health services industry.
  • Strong understanding of BI technologies, data structures, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.
  • Proven track record of implementing BI solutions that have significantly impacted business outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry’s standards, challenges, and regulations is highly desirable.

  • Dynamic leadership ability that can develop and energize multi-disciplined, high-performance work teams to learn and apply new skills/techniques to business needs
  • Working experience in Tableau or other visualization intelligence tool
  • Ability to effectively adapt to and apply rapidly changing technology to business needs, developing and delivering projects using (where appropriate) leading-edge technology
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers, employees, and senior management
  • Excellent oral and written communications; an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
  • Strong business planning skills
  • Exceptional project management skills, effectively arranging resources and managing multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to create original concepts and take heuristic approaches to testing/refining existing theories and to develop new system approaches to solve problems and seize opportunities to sustain business success
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
