Job Description

Successful, nationally syndicated daytime television talk show “The Steve Wilkos Show” is looking for an enthusiastic, focused, creative and curious candidate to serve as Associate Producer. The Associate Producer works in seamless collaboration with the Producer and Booking Production Assistant finding great stories to produce for the show.

Candidate should have great follow through, with out-of-the-box story ideation skills and possess strong pre interviewing and research skills.

An ability to be a self-starter, pitch story ideas and keep track of fast-moving production duties.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of TV experience with a talk show, news or court program, or other relevant experience (including internships) or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the internet

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience booking conflict topics a plus
  • Experience with daytime talk shows a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience booking guests for television
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary
  • Superior organizational skills

Additional Requirements

    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
