Job Purpose
Manages the residence life programs and services that covers 10 residence halls and 25 houses and affects 3,700 students that reside on campus.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling or related field and at least 5 years of full-time experience in Student Affairs. Residence hall administration experience preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of budget planning and fiscal operations. Excellent oral and written communication as well as planning abilities. Basic understanding of social media is desired. Proven supervisory experience. Knowledge and understanding of student issues in higher education.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Required to be on 24/7 on-call rotation. Evening and weekend work may be necessary when not on-call. Some travel will be required.

Responsible for hiring, supervising, and evaluating four full-time staff. Indirectly supervises full-time and graduate student Hall Directors, student Resident Assistants, and student Desk Assistants. Assists with providing informational and educational training to professional and paraprofessional employees in the area of community and student development issues. Approves time sheets and provides developmental feedback. Serves as an appeal officer for staff accountability.
