1 Associate Director of Constituency Services – Impact THE ORGANIZATION The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund was established in 1981 to promote the full participation of Latinos in the American political process, from citizenship to public service. NALEO Educational Fund achieves its mission through integrated strategies that include increasing the effectiveness of Latino policymakers, mobilizing the Latino community to engage in civic life, and promoting policies that advance Latino political engagement. NALEO Educational Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-partisan organization governed by a 15-member Board of Directors and a 36-member Board of Advisors. Headquartered in Monterey Park, CA, NALEO Educational Fund maintains offices in Houston, New York City, and Washington, D.C., with staff and program presence in other areas of the United States. POSITION SUMMARY NALEO Educational Fund seeks an Associate Director of Constituency Services

  • Impact to lead the ongoing development and implementation of the organization’s evaluation system for tracking the impact of its professional development and governance training programs for the nation’s Latino policymakers. This role involves leading initiatives to measure program effectiveness to better drive progress for Latino communities, ultimately paving their way for economic prosperity and advancement. The ideal candidate will further support the ongoing development and strengthening of an evidence-informed governance training model for the Constituency Services (CS) Department and will also lead the systematic collection and analysis of the policymaking success by Latino policymakers who participate in NALEO Educational Fund’s programs.   • Impact will work on organization programs and projects as needed and assigned. The position is based in Los Angeles, CA. Travel is required. This position reports to the National Director of Constituency Services. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an annual compensation ranging from $65,000 up to $80,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position will maintain a hybrid schedule working both remotely and in the office as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Draft data collection tools (i.e. interview guides, surveys, evaluations) based on the organization’s needs and use those tools to gather data from NALEO Members and program participants to support impact and evaluation work; Represent, attend and actively engage in a “community of practice” alongside key partners to advance economic mobility data tools and resources among NALEO stakeholders and serve as a liaison between the organization and external evaluators, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and deliverables; Draft and present content/case studies on impact and evaluation for reports, presentations, or other materials that support the sharing of findings with internal and external audiences; Manage an evaluation effort of the Constituency Services theory of change and training model; Support the organization to think about questions most important to our work and help develop a process to collect and analyze data to answer those questions; Coach CS team members in strategic data collection and analysis to develop a results-based framework for the department; Regularly engage with constituent database, records, and campaign tracking using Salesforce platform; Clean and manage quantitative data in Excel and begin to identify the most relevant trends, insights, and findings; Perform analysis techniques derived from quantitative and qualitative data; and Support the department and organization’s work as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Familiar with research design in the social sciences; Basic awareness of the technical aspects of research methodology or evaluation; Three to five years of experience in non-profit, academic, or government sectors a plus; Analytic skills with strong ability to prioritize workload, distill information, synthesize and communicate effectively with others; Proven ability to work independently, organized and results-oriented; Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with others; Knowledge of and interest in Latino politics required; Must be technology savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom; experience using Salesforce a plus; If a driver, must have a valid driver’s license with proof of automobile insurance coverage; Collegial attitude and ability to work respectfully with people from all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; Supportive of the mission and the philosophy of NALEO Educational Fund. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ASPECTS OF THE POSITON Certain physical and mental aspects of performing the essential functions of the position include the following: Ability to detect, discern, recognize, and perceive auditory and visual information within normal ranges; Dexterity to read, write, type, operate office equipment such as a computer, printer, telephone, calculator, copier, fax machine, pencils, pens, and stapler; Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
