About Morning Consult
Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter, faster, better decisions. The company pairs its proprietary high-frequency data with rigorous analysis to better inform decisions on what people think and how they will act.
This role is a remote role that is required to work Pacific Standard Time or Mountain Standard Time to help support the Company’s dispersed workforce.
Our award-winning and modern, open concept offices are located in Washington, DC, Chicago, IL and New York, NY. All three offices are accessible by public transportation and in close proximity to great restaurants and shopping.
Join us in the office for Bagel Tuesdays, catered lunch on Wednesdays or grab a beverage from the fridge for an impromptu after-work happy hour!
The Role
Morning Consult is looking for an entrepreneurial, business-oriented lawyer to support its Business Development (Sales) and Operations teams. The Associate Counsel will be primarily responsible for reviewing, editing and negotiating commercial contracts with customers and vendors that range from Fortune 100 conglomerates to early-stage startups.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial ethos toward issue-spotting and problem-solving, with a keen eye toward constantly improving internal processes and documentation. Specifically, the Associate Counsel will assist in the following: (i) review and negotiate a broad array of customer and vendor contracts, (ii) identify—and assist in resolving—contractual security, intellectual property, privacy, regulatory and other compliance issues and (iii) assist on ad hoc projects that come with a scaling company.
The Legal Team At Morning Consult
The Legal team is part of the Operations division at Morning Consult. We work closely with teams across all divisions within Morning Consult to ensure that the company’s activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual obligations. What You'll Be Working On
The expected salary range for this position is $107,500 - $174,900, with a midpoint of $141,200.
In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. This role is eligible for an equity grant which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation. Please see an overview of Morning Consult’s benefits on our Career Page .

It is our policy to be an equal opportunity employer without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic predisposition or carrier status, veteran status, citizenship status or any other factors prohibited by law. Morning Consult will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals.
