Assistant Project Manager

Do you have project management or support experience? Look no further! LHH is recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager for a client located in Kansas City, MO that will be responsible for supporting the project management team in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. This is a direct hire opportunity paying $55-65k depending on experience. Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Science or Electrical Engineering OR 1-2 years of Project Coordination or Management experience, ideally with exposure to Electrical Projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in project management or a related field.
• Bachelors degree in Construction Science or Electrical Engineering preferred but not required.
• Strong familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
