We seek enthusiastic and experienced food & beverage champions to join our team at a stunning new lobby restaurant featuring coastal Italian cuisine under the helm of a James Beard Award-Winning Chef.

Overview: Join our prestigious team at L’Ermitage as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. This role is ideal for an up-and-coming hospitality professional who excels in food and beverage operations within a luxury hotel setting. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, lobby bar, In Room Dining, Pool and Events, maintaining exceptional service standards, and contributing to the overall success of all outlets in the F&B department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise and mentor restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing departments to ensure adequate stock of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), to optimize efficiency and service quality.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of food items according to menu specifications and guest preferences.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to educate team members on service standards, menu items, and hotel policies.
  • Assist in preparing and managing departmental budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain and execute 5-star Forbes and 5 Diamonds AAA standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within food and beverage operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledge of restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems, reservation systems).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.

Annual Salary: $67,000
