Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management Private Credit is one of the world’s largest alternative credit investing platforms with approximately $120bn of AUM and investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. GS Private Credit is a dynamic platform with significant cross-pollination across strategies – direct lending (middle market and large cap performing credit), opportunistic and structured investments across debt and equity.

The Investment Grade Private Credit Americas Analyst

The Investment Grade Private Credit (“IGPC”) team originates, executes, and manages primarily investment grade credit investments across comingled credit funds and separately managed accounts (SMA) on behalf of pension and insurance clients. IGPC focuses on corporate and infrastructure debt for public and private companies with an investment grade profile. Analysts support the business by serving as the primary coordinator between key stakeholders as well as work as part of small deal teams responsible for identifying, conducting due diligence, structuring, executing, and monitoring investments, and are involved in a wide variety of exciting transactions across the capital structure in a variety of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Support investment ideas across the product suite via engagement with relevant parties (e.g., agent banks / company management teams for the private-side investing platforms)
  • Liaise with the investment operations team to assist in trade booking, capital calls, and data capture
  • Actively monitor existing investments in the portfolio
  • Service client requests such as pricing, reporting, and ad-hoc portfolio inquiries
  • Engage in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses
  • Build relationships with sponsors, management teams and internal GS stakeholders

Qualifications

  • More than 1 year of experience in investment banking or investment roles
  • Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for investing with specific interest in credit / other structured products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
