About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity at near the Little Rock, AR area manufacturing facility for someone passionate about manufacturing and assembly. The Assembly Director will join the facility leadership team to develop an operational strategy that aligns with our business goals, enhancing factory safety, quality, and productivity.


What You’ll Do

  • Coach and Mentor: Lead a team of leaders to foster a safe work environment that upholds our values of integrity, respect, and excellence.
  • Engage with Employees: Build relationships with shop floor employees, maintaining an open-door policy.
  • Team Development: Oversee hiring, direction, assessment, and development of team members. Enhance hourly employee capabilities through skill-building, assessment tools, and developmental systems.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term strategies for operational efficiency improvements.
  • Manage Priorities: Utilize delegation skills to handle a wide range of priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production planning, safety, quality, engineering, and other stakeholders to achieve facility objectives.
  • Champion Culture: Promote an environment of accountability, open communication, high ethical standards, and care for employees.


Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or related field.
  • Experience: 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Operational Expertise: Extensive experience in operations, manufacturing complex products through vertically integrated fabrication processes, including maintenance software and implementations.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of metal punching, bending, and forming operations, utilizing both traditional and robotic systems.
  • Project Management: Experience in developing capital project business cases and hands-on capital project support.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles.

  • Self-Motivated: Resourceful and entrepreneurial, with a drive for learning and improvement.
  • Analytical Skills: Well-developed quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft and other business software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, etc.
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve goals.
  • Communication Skills: Strong influencing and communication abilities, capable of securing management buy-in, sponsorship, and investment through effective articulation of business benefits aligned with broader organizational objectives.
