Greetings, friend. Here at Second Dinner, we make award-winning MEGA hits. Oof, maybe that’s not humble enough. But we did win a bunch of awards! We have to say, it feels good. And we want YOU to help us build our next gaming blockbuster. Let’s make a stamp on the industry together!

This Specific Team (It’s a New Game!)

We are at the very beginning of our journey into a brand new game! We’ve partnered with one of the biggest and most beloved IP’s on Earth, and together we are doing something totally crazy but somehow super fun. If you are worried about it being too fun, that’s ok, we are too.

This is not an indie game we are working on. It’s a mega-blockbuster. If you want to make a mobile game every single one of your friends, relatives, and co-workers will be talking about, this is THAT game.

What You Gonna Do?

Making something super fun isn't enough. To attract an enormous audience we need to make a game that looks incredible too.

As Art Director, you’ll define the artistic vision for the game, manage an ultra-talented art team, and be a leader in our quest to make the biggest game of the decade.

Let’s hang out and build something rad that we can all be proud of.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the artistic vision
• Get all the way in to create delightful art and help get it implemented
• Manage a small team of super-senior artists
• Focus the team to hit an inspiring artistic vision on every vector from UI to Animation and VFX
• Collaborate with our IP partner to make sure we build something unique yet authentic that fans of the IP will freaking adore
• Spin up and manage an art outsourcing pipeline
• Partner with other discipline leaders to weave super fun gameplay together with stunning visuals in a way that feels great
  
  

Describe the Perfect Candidate? Don’t Mind If I Do:

• You have extensive experience art directing mega-popular video games.
• You have experience managing an art team and know when to get in there and when to grant autonomy.
• You understand how mobile games and console games require different touches and can help us optimize for both.
• You love working with ridiculously talented people and making great stuff

The total compensation for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $160,000 - $240,000 USD + equity + comprehensive benefits + potential for discretionary performance bonuses.

Individual pay within this salary range may span multiple levels within the discipline and is determined by assessed job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training. It also factors in market demands and business needs. The disclosed range is not adjusted based on location and may be subject to change or modification based on business needs in the future. Your recruiter can answer any questions about new hire total compensation during the hiring process.
