Must-haves

-0-2 years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience

-Experience executing research analysis or sampling (ex: copper samples)

-Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Mining, Metallurgical Sciences, or Chemical Engineering

Plusses

-Experience working with copper in any capacity

-Liquid Hydrometallurgy (SIMPLE TERMS: spraying rocks with a liquid solution to see if once you spray it, the rock turns to copper)

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for an Analytical Chemist for $14-$18 an hour for a client in Tucson, AZ. This person will be joining the eleven person Liquid Hydrometallurgy team.

This team is responsible for executing research analysis and testing on rock samples to turn them into copper, the product that is then distributed to the customer.

75% of their day will be spent in the lab (ex: running instrumental analysis by first spraying the rocks with the liquid product and then analyzing how the rock changed.) and 25% performing administrative tasks (reporting their findings through Excel, presenting their findings to the team, answering emails from the customer).
