Actuarial Analyst
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Actuarial Analyst who enjoys diving deep in data and producing quality reserve analyses.
You’ll be working on our actuarial reserving team to help set reserves on a monthly basis. In order to properly opine on the reserves as the book develops, you will collaborate closely with Insurance Product managers, Claims, Finance, Pricing & Reserving Actuaries, and Data Scientists.
In this role you’ll
- Develop detailed reserve estimates for Personal Auto lines of business
- Present monthly results to leaders across the company
- Investigate and opine on any internal or external trends that impact reserves
- Properly document selections and assumptions in your analyses
- Leverage your analytical/modeling skills to automate and streamline processes
- Further your own actuarial education through CAS exams and industry research while applying those learnings on the job
What you’ll need
- 1+ years of P&C actuarial experience
- 2+ CAS/SOA actuarial exams
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- General knowledge of data science programming languages such as R (preferred) or Python, and proficiency in database query tools such as SQL
- Ability to work in an office environment 3 days per week

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $90,000 equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Speak to your recruiter to hear more about the specific salary range for your preferred location.
