The Activity Director is responsible for leading the facilities' activity programs, which include developing and implementing programs geared toward various individual abilities and interests. This position also includes supervising other members of the activity staff. A top-notch Activity Director is someone who is creative and strategic when it comes to developing and implementing goals. In addition, the Activity Director must be able to quickly adapt when faced with change, be energetic, positively influence others in a supportive manner, and be customer service oriented with great communication skills.

Your Job:

  • Conduct individual and group engagement activities for residents as well as assist with special community events.
  • Plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities and events that provide a variety of resident and family-centered experiences.
  • Participates in discharge planning, development, and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments
  • Meets with administration, medical, and nursing staff, as well as other related departments to coordinate and plan activity programs
  • Involves the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident care planning
  • Performs administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting such to the Executive Director as required
  • Checks supply rooms to ensure that needed activity supplies are on hand to conduct scheduled activities.
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management.


Who You Are:

  • Two years of job-related experience, preferably in long-term care (Have other qualifying experience? We want to hear from you!)
  • Motivated and organized team-player
  • A professional team player with a commitment of maintaining a reliable shift history

  • Enthusiastic about helping others and being part of a team who focuses on the same
