Position Title: Accounts Receivable Representative
Reporting To: Credit Manager
Location: Evansville, IN
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Purpose: Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable dollars, resolving customer billing issues, and reducing accounts receivable.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Account specific research and resolution in accordance with department goals and metrics.
Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
Research and resolve customer disputes and complaints. Ensure follow up and resolution with internal team partners and external customers.
Submit claims / disputes on customer portals to resolve outstanding invoices and balances due.
Process and compile appropriate information on accounts for refunds, write-offs, credit memos, and adjustments.
Various duties, as assigned by Credit Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma required, 2+ years of collections experience preferred
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Remain focused and on task in fast-paced environments.
Keen problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Manages time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Experience with online customer / vendor portals preferred.
Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact.
Strong computer/keyboard skills
Effective listening and phone skills
Physical Demands:
Sitting, talking and listening at least 2/3 of the time
Lifting up to 10 pounds
Fine motor coordination
