Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, including billing, invoicing, and collections. This role ensures that the company's receivables are collected in a timely manner and accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and send out invoices to clients
Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments
Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
Maintain accounts receivable files and records
Produce monthly financial and management reports
Investigate and resolve customer queries
Assist in preparing the year-end audit
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
Proven working experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
Office environment with standard office hours
May require occasional overtime to meet deadlines
