The Accounting Clerk is responsible for processing invoices, monitoring payment discrepancies, and responding to account payments and requests. This position works closely with the Controller and other accounting team members to ensure timely and accurate support of receivable and payable transactions.

Essential Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial record of all receivable and payable transactions
Process transactions according to company policy by securing appropriate approvals, retaining documentation, and processing payments
Reconcile cash transactions, credit card charges, and statements throughout the month and at month-end
Generate and distribute invoices and adhere to specific requirements by business partners
Monitor email inboxes, incoming mail, and voicemail for invoices and related inquiries, including providing research and back-up information to requests
Identify opportunities for efficiency and participate in process improvement and internal control projects
Support the fulfillment of audit requests from external audit firms as needed
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger, cost center, and department structure

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
2+ years work experience in an accounting role
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization, deductive reasoning, and attention to detail
Continuous-improvement mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and perform tasks efficiently and accurately
Knowledge of SAP Business One/Orchestrated Beer and Verify/Therefore a plus
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 10 - 25 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
