Job Description
Responsibilities:
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
Prepare and issue monthly project-related invoices based on diverse contract terms
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
Enter and reconcile all project-related expenses, including consultant invoices
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
Understand expense accounts and cost centers
Be familiar with compliance issues related to accounts payable processes (such as W-9, sales tax, etc.)
Filing acccounting related documents
Skills:
Must be highly detail oriented - ensuring precision with tasks
Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures and financial records
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficient computer and technology skills including in MS Office
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent, college courses or degree is a plus
Experience in accounts payable and/or accounting/accounting related field is a plus
Must be eligible for employment in the U.S.
