Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Prepare and issue monthly project-related invoices based on diverse contract terms
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Enter and reconcile all project-related expenses, including consultant invoices
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
  • Understand expense accounts and cost centers
  • Be familiar with compliance issues related to accounts payable processes (such as W-9, sales tax, etc.)
  • Filing acccounting related documents

Skills:

  • Must be highly detail oriented - ensuring precision with tasks
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
  • Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficient computer and technology skills including in MS Office

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, college courses or degree is a plus
  • Experience in accounts payable and/or accounting/accounting related field is a plus
  • Must be eligible for employment in the U.S.
