We are seeking a diligent and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our Accounting Associate and Controller, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the accounting department. This role involves various tasks including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, including inputting financial transactions into the accounting system.
Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial documents and records.
Assist with preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation as required.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
Respond promptly to inquiries from other departments regarding financial information or documentation.
Collaborate with team members to improve existing processes and procedures for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Uphold confidentiality and security standards when handling sensitive financial information.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
