Base Salary: $70,000 to $80,000

Commission: $50,000

OTE: $120,000 to $130,000

  • Overall compensation (base salary + commission) for this role will be provided commensurate with years of experience and qualifications.

If so, we invite you to apply for GreenBiz Group’s Account Executive position. We’re looking for someone to support the sales team as we expand into new markets, launch new products and cultivate a rapidly growing list of corporate partners and sponsors.


This is a fully remote position available anywhere in the US with the option of coming into our Oakland, CA office as well as team events approximately 4 times a year.


Responsibilities

  • Build a pipeline and manage a sales territory to achieve sales targets
  • Sell thought leadership, branding, and networking opportunities to marketing, communications, and sustainability leaders at large companies
  • Establish and maintain key senior-level relationships with existing customers and prospects
  • Qualify and engage customers and prospects by identifying objectives and conveying a clear value proposition through compelling phone-based and in-person sales meetings
  • Prioritize, create and manage a high volume of clear, concise sales proposals by strategically packaging, pricing, and addressing customer objectives
  • Demonstrate knowledge and passion for sustainability-related topics
  • Collaborate internally and externally while balancing revenue targets with customer service needs
  • Develop compelling email and phone-based prospecting campaigns that are timely and relevant
  • Attend local and national networking events for prospecting and relationship building
  • Maintain and manage all activities in Salesforce and leverage other sales/marketing tools including Linkedin and Marketo
  • Comfort with public speaking, presentations, and/or event session moderation a bonus


Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a full sales cycle role (prospecting to deal close)
  • Ability to work independently, deliver results and address customer objectives
  • Existing knowledge and contacts in corporate sustainability, green finance, consulting, cleantech, and/or related industries a bonus
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain an eye for detail, a high level of organizational skills, and the ability to multitask
  • BA or equivalent preferred
