Takes responsibility for entire classroom operations, supervision, and management of children in the absence of there teacher
Attends staff meetings to prepare band discuss lesson plans, individualization using child outcomes, anecdotal notes, observations, portfolios, child assessments and any other required paperwork
Attends parent meetings, extra-curricular activities and special events whenever scheduled (e.g., Christmas plays, concerts, etc)
Prepares educational activities required to implement the daily plan
Provides center information to parents through notes, newsletters, phone calls, and home visits
Maintains an orderly physical environment conducive to optimal growth and development of children
Greets children as they get off the bus or when they are brought to the classroom
Maintains daily student records as assigned by teacher
Supervises children during meal time, snacks, and at all times
Makes home visits regarding child’s progress
Possess knowledge of school policies and procedures and abide by them
Works With Children Who Have Disabilities
Responsible and dependable
Attends all required trainings
Performs additional duties assigned by the Head Start director and administrative staff
Must be willing to further education by attending college classes
