Tornado season is currently underway. Please take a moment to get ready for any unexpected circumstances. It’s common to think that such incidents won’t impact you until it’s too late. Understanding Watch and Warning: A tornado WATCH indicates that tornadoes are possible in or near your area. Be prepared to take action promptly. A tornado WARNING means immediate action is required as a tornado is close by, posing a threat. Move to a safe location without delay. Preparation Steps: Identify a safe room designed to withstand strong winds. Alternatively, opt for a windowless room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building Stay updated with local weather forecasts and news. Have backup power sources for your cell phone and a battery-operated radio for power outages. Stock up on food, water, and medication as stores may be inaccessible during emergencies. Organize supplies into a portable Go-Kit (at least a 3-day supply) and a Stay-at-Home-Kit (with a minimum of 2 weeks' worth).

Part 1 of 2 I absolutely don't understand, I just can't grasp it. Million-plus fans paying ungodly sums of money to see people MY AGE perform thier 50 year old hits from afar, not one of which are near my age. And Saudi-back sports, gambling on said sports at criminal / now-no-longer-criminal internet sites at Saudi-owned facilities played by Saudi-owned teams. There is just so much wrong about this-here whole situation. Where to start? What to do? (shrug and laugh) In 1968-9 on north side of Evans St. west of S. Platte River Dr. and the RR tracks in SW Denver there was this 'club' named The Psychadelic Rose opened Fri. nights only. It was a very nice club with sofas and tables and padded chairs and spinning lights and projected psychadelic videos everywhere, but no need for a bar (no carding). In this club was a club-sized stage where local talent performed. The club got a quietly whispered name on the big-time music artists list. I saw, well sort of saw, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin and Big Brother band, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix and Blue Cheer perform live. The farthest from the stage was a hundred+ feet. It was a closely guarded secret for the SW Denver crowd and infant motor cycle club members, my friends. At McNicoles, the Coliseum, Folsom Field, Red Rocks, and some field north of Denver I saw Moody Blues (the best show), Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers Band, REO Speedwagon, Jethro Tull (again), the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and a bunch more. Then: $5 (door) - $70-80 (best seats), maybe 70,000 max. at the Dead show in Boulder. Now: 1,000,000 - 1,600,000 people paying $500-$$$$ per seat to see those very same bands composed of old people like me perform those same songs. As previously discussed, I am working towards offering what I believe is a practical do-able plan for an American future equitable for every American family. The choice to me is simple, keep running in circles screaming and shouting until the sky actually does cave-in on America, OR stop, look, listen, think, plan, then move forward as there is no other to for every American to SURVIVE, STAY ALIVE. When you can see the amount of energy stored in the earth's water, stored as potential energy in an extremely metastable state, just waiting for a small push to catastrophically begin the release of all of that stored-up energy. The occurrance of a random event which supplies the Energy Of Activation, or that crucial last pump of the handle that starts the cascading transformation of all that stored (potential) energy into a gargantuan amount of kinetic energy that fuels these extraordinary ever-intensifying worldwide disasters we are already witnessing today. (Implication here is that some 'tipping points' have already occurred - there is no stopping the inevitable, only managing our transition to survive what already is inevitable. Now read Part 2.

Temptation Fighter I have thought much about Your words and stored them in my heart so that they would hold me back from sin. Psalm 119:11, TLB Let’s combine two verses into one—Psalm 119:9 and 11: “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word…. [which] I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” Our greatest strategy in fighting temptation is God’s Word in our heart, wielded by the indwelling Holy Spirit. Faith, which keeps us in step with God and hinders sin in our lives, is fed by Scripture. We need to search out and memorize verses that address our sinful habits and tendencies. Every sinful urge in the human heart is addressed somewhere in the Bible. We need to find and learn the verses that counter our weaknesses. Some sins are so stubborn we need support at many levels, but our primary tool is memorized and applied Scripture. What area of weakness are you facing? Search God’s Word, find a verse or passage that meets your need, and commit it to memory. Let the Holy Spirit use His Word to help you overcome your besetting sin. God’s Word hidden in your heart is the sword of the Spirit, available for battle at any time against sin and Satan. The Navigators

The value of your people is dependent on what they are capable of and where you put them on the board. 🌀''Following Jesus is not a three-step formula: be with him, become like him, and so on. But there is a sequence. It is not a program but a progression. First, you come and be with Jesus; gradually you start to become like him; eventually, it's like you can't help it - you begin to do the kinds of things he did in the world. We see this progression in the stories of the original disciples: They spent months or possibly years just following him around Israel and sitting at his feet. Very slowly they began to change, and eventually, he "sent them out" to preach.''🔥_(John Mark Comer, Practicing the Way: Be with Jesus, Become Like Him, Do As He Did) 🌞...''Go BIG or go Home in 2024''...🌍_(0) #Returnoftheprodigalchild #FromCaliforniaToAlexandria #Africanenergyweek2024 #November #Starwars #Trilogy #Part3 #2024 #Aew | Look into the past as the raw material of the future | 👍 Join the #right #fight for #energy #freedom and human flourishing. 👍 Get #FossilFuture (1) and subscribe EnergyTalkingPoints.com (2) which gives you true, powerful, and succinct talking points on today's most important energy, environmental, and climate issues. 👍 Be part of Africa's Renaissance's cardinal évent in November where the third chapter of African Future Energy History will be written (3) | The visions that we offer to our children shape the future | 👇 Source : Return of the prodigal child 👉https://lnkd.in/eusBWWfr (0) Go BIG or go Home in 2024 👉Read full article here : https://lnkd.in/edDHaycM (1) Fossil Future : Why Global Human Flourishing Requires More Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas--Not Less 👉 Get your copy here : FossilFuture.com (2) EnergyTalkingPoints.com : Join America's leading Platform for Pro-human, pro-freedom messaging and policies for politicians and citizens of the world and get the latest talking points delivered to your Inbox. 👉 Subscribe here : EnergyTalkingPoints.com (3) Energy Capital & Power - the African continent's leading investment platform for the energy sector. 👉 Join African Energy Week 2024 here : https://aecweek.com/ 👉 Learn about oil, gas, renewable energy and more https://lnkd.in/eti6Hzjh #AlexEpstein ===================================>#FossilFuture #drillbabydrill #Drivetherevolution #FromCaliforniaToAlexandria #mothernature #holyvirgin #leadership #handsonhands #globaleconomy 🦜

You've likely heard about the "Circle of Influence": But "Circle of Control" and "Circle of Concern" are key too. Understanding these three circles is vital for success. Stephen Covey introduced the Circle of Influence Model, also known as the CIA model. It emphasizes three crucial actions: Control, Influence, and Acceptance. I am sharing extended infographics of this concept. The model distinguishes between three types of worries: ➟ Control: Pertains to factors directly under your control, such as thoughts, behaviors, and actions. This is the most important area to focus on. ➟ Influence: Relates to factors involving others or situations that you can influence, albeit with limited effect. Concentrate on areas where you have the greatest influence. ➟ Concerns: Encompasses factors beyond your control, such as the weather or economy. Accept these realities and focus on what you can actively influence. These categories are not fixed and can overlap. What may be a concern for some could fall within the influence of others. This flexibility makes the model adaptable and applicable to individuals, teams, and organizations alike. Identify your concerns, categorize them, and take the necessary action. The objective is to regain a sense of control and allocate your time effectively where you can make a meaningful difference. Share this valuable insight with your network! P.S. Are you often concerned by things beyond your control? Adapted from Jeroen Kraaijenbrink.

Social Security and the Idiot in power. He stated that he will not privatize part of SS. If must be because it cuts into his "give away" funds. I cannot believe anybody would vote for this idiot. No offense to current idiots. I wrote this to my Senator who I am actually proud of. I understand you are heading up changes for Social Security. I am still not understanding why they stop taking Social Security out of your paychecks at the contribution cap. You would think this would be an easy fix to bring additional funds into the program. I would think this would also be any easy sell to Democrats or Republicans. Everybody loves to tax the rich more and I believe this is the worthiest of causes. Any comments on this? fyi I am an independent, but conservatist that will be 61 this year. Senator Cassidy's response: Thank you for your recent letter regarding my plan to fix Social Security. This is an important topic. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. I agree that Social Security is an incredibly important program, and I am working to save it. The latest annual reports by the Trustees of the Social Security Trust Fund project that the Fund is on track to be depleted by 2033. Under current law, there is an automatic 24% cut in benefits once Social Security goes insolvent, doubling poverty for the elderly. We cannot allow this to happen. If we wish to preserve Social Security for those who have paid into it their whole lives, we must save, strengthen, and secure the underlying fundamentals of the program. That’s why I and a bipartisan group of senators have come up with a “Big Idea.” Our idea is to create a new fund, separate from the Social Security Trust Fund, which invests $1.5 trillion into safe and diversified assets proven to grow over the long-term. We can enable Social Security to grow into solvency and even increase benefits with time. Our plan does not reduce existing benefits and will not raise the retirement age to 70, despite misleading reporting. I urge President Biden to engage with our bipartisan “Big Idea.” In the meantime, I will continue to work with my colleagues in Congress to do what is right for seniors, future generations, and our country. I will continue to represent the views of my state and do so through hearing from constituents like you. Please continue to reach out, either by phone or by email, when you have another question or concern. You can reach my office in Washington DC at 202-224-5824 or submit an email at https://lnkd.in/gwxmGrgM. This affects everybody!!! Well, except politicians.

INTEGRITY If the thought of other people knowing about a decision we have made makes us worried, then we may have made the wrong decision. Bad decisions lead to secrets and such secrets always lead to pain in our lives. The Bible says, "Whoever is pure in his ways will be safe in his ways, but whoever is crooked in his ways will be known." Proverbs 10:9 When making decisions this way, we don't need to be afraid of being found out by other people. When we have integrity, our social and personal lives will be balanced. What is in our hearts is the same as what others see on the outside. What we say and what we do go hand in hand. When we violate integrity, we may fool others, but we cannot fool ourselves. And if we lie to our conscience, we must pay for it. “So if anyone knows how to do good, but does not do it, he sins.” James 4: 17 Not following your conscience is a fatal mistake. God will forgive us for the mistakes we make, but forgiveness does not free us from the consequences we have to accept from wrong choices. God gives us wisdom from his word and our conscience because he loves us. Having integrity will help keep us on God's path, which will always bring us goodness.

What Is Your More? We all want more of something. Maybe it is more money, or more time at home. Perhaps it is more ability to do something that you enjoy. Could it possibly be more balance in your life or your schedule. Or is it more of a feeling, like love, or compassion that you want more of in your life. We all want more of something, but where do we start to move forward into finding that more? Are you able to identify a single item to have more of, or do you feel like you want more of everything? I am no expert, but I think that if you can identify one item you want more of you can lay out a map on how to get to that more. Let's say you want to earn more money, that is what your gut is telling you. How do you get what you seek? Could it be a promotion within your organization? If so, how do you prepare yourself to take that next step and get promoted or given more responsibility that comes with the more that you seek. Do you need additional education or training? That is on you to find it and learn it. Do you need other soft skills to acquire the necessary knowledge to perform at the next level? That too is on you to invest your time and energy to internalize those attributes. You are going to have to give to receive. What if your more is love, how can you get more of that, as that generally comes from outside of yourself. Or does it? Are you giving love? And giving it in the way that those you seek to receive it from, are receiving it from you in the way they want it? There are books and podcasts that can help open your mind on how to listen better, and share, and gain a greater understanding of how to really know someone on a deep and interpersonal level. Again, you are going to have to give to receive. Do you want more from your industry? Bored with your role or the general trajectory of the business? Here again you are going to have to give to receive. Next week we can look to unpack a few ways to give in order to receive more. And that more, might be able to check a couple of items off your list! Let's find your more, and then work to acquire it! Again, the more you know.
