Planning and executing events and initiatives such as International Women's Day and career development workshops to make our female employees feel more empowered and become more successful in their lives.

Organizing programming and initiatives to help strengthening and nurturing the connection among female and non-binary Duke alumni in the NYC Metropolitan area.

I interview prospective Duke undergraduate students to provide the Admissions Office with additional information about the applicants to see whether they are a good fit for Duke.

• Implemented UN Women’s HeForShe movement to encourage the Duke community to achieve gender equality
• Organized and executed a successful social media photo campaign with 67 participants to challenge gender stereotypes (engagement on Facebook >9,000 clicks, comments, and shares)

Overlooking the alumni interview process for all of Ireland and assigning local alumni to interview Duke applicants from Ireland to evaluate whether they are a good fit for Duke.

Each member was nominated to the committee based on their outstanding leadership at Duke, and has been selected to represent their peers to support the Duke Alumni Association’s creation of young alumni-focused initiatives during Homecoming Weekend. The Committee collaborates with the DAA to make Homecoming a “reunion” for the youngest four alumni years. I was in charge of my chapter's social media channels and promoted a positive image of Gamma Phi Beta to the Duke community.

I helped incoming transfer students adjust to a new academic and social environment at Duke and facilitated orientation week events before first day of classes.

Once a week, I volunteered to teach German to children with an immigration background at a local kindergarten. These children were struggling with the German language due to their parents' immigrant status. It was my job to support the kids by reading books to them or playing board games.

As representatives of the Political Science students it was our duty to look after and fight for the concerns of our fellows and communicate their interests to faculty, staff, and university administration. Political Science Student Government holds chairs in several university committees and takes part in decision-making processes when it comes to academic reform plans or financing.
