I’m not the only one who can see into the future. Anyone can if they simply take the time to open the pages of the Bible. Such knowledge can give us peace in times of trouble because it shows us that nothing ever takes God by surprise. Here now are ten things we will see in the future, according to the Bible: 1. There will be wars throughout the earth as nations rise against each other. (Keep your eyes on the Middle East as tensions escalate over the city of Jerusalem.) 2. There will be massive earthquakes that will bring death and destruction to many. 3. Devastating famines will be caused by wars, by lack of rain, and by refugees overrunning borders and pouring in from other countries. 4. Stress will increase so much that men’s hearts will fail them from fear of things coming in the earth. These fears will grow because of violence, nations threatening nuclear war, unstable weather patterns, terrorism, volatility in the Middle East, and riots due to inflation, debt, and food shortages. 5. Those who refuse to embrace the sins of the world and instead live godly lives will be persecuted by a world that hates the light. 6. Lawlessness will explode as gangs become organized and emboldened when they see that law enforcement is helpless. 7. Knowledge will increase through artificial intelligence and through the Internet, which will explode in size and give humanity even greater knowledge. More countries will look to space exploration as a means of offering fresh hope to those who have serious concerns about climate change and what they believe is overpopulation on Earth. 8. Hollywood will mock Christians and flaunt its sin, seeking to normalizing adultery, fornication, homosexuality, transgenderism, pornography, blasphemy, abortion, and even bestiality. 9. There will be a mocking of the Second Coming of Jesus as Christians warn of the signs of the end of the age. The world’s argument will be characterized by a denial of Noah’s flood, saying that the signs the Scriptures give have always existed. 10. But there will be one great light among the darkness. The gospel of Jesus Christ will be preached in all nations. Not many know that Nostradamus intermingled his fake predictions with genuine prophecies he secretly read in the Bible. That gave him credibility among those who didn’t know the Scriptures. “Anyone can [see into the future] if they simply take the time to open the pages of the Bible.” Again, these ten predictions I’ve given are all from the Bible. And each one is a sign of the Second Coming of Jesus—who will come in wrath to set up His glorious kingdom on earth and to judge the world in perfect righteousness. While millions waste their time in pursuit of pleasure, use yours to reach the lost. Make it your number one priority. That’s what Jesus did. Yesterday was National Firearm Safety Day or National SAFE Day. Properly storing your firearms is crucial to prevent accidents. Use a Gun Safe or Lockbox: Store firearms in a locked safe or lockbox that is resistant to tampering. Ensure the safe is out of reach and sight of children. 2. Unload Firearms: Always store weapons unloaded. Store ammunition in a separate, locked container. 3. Use Trigger Locks: Employ trigger or cable locks as an additional safety measure to prevent the firearm from being loaded or discharged. 4. Keep Keys Secure: Store keys to gun safes and lockboxes in a secure place, known only to authorized users. 5. Encouraging someone to jump on the safety band wagon is typically pretty easy, especially after an incident, but, convincing them to stay on that wagon when the shock wears off, well...that's another story altogether. A successful safety culture transcends traditional enforcement methods, moving away from punitive measures toward emphasizing the human aspect of safety. Employee involvement and positive recognition play pivotal roles in building and sustaining a robust safety culture. Employees are less likely to make risky decisions when reminded of the personal motivations behind working safely: their homes and loved ones. A deeper awareness of colleagues' personal lives encourages intervention when unsafe situations arise. Safety should be integrated into everyday work. Initiatives like starting daily meetings with a "Safety Spotlight" can encourage employees to share firsthand experiences with job danger, express thoughts on daily safety concerns and volunteer for safety responsibilities. Employee buy-in and involvement are key to a strong safety culture. Engaging people at various levels is vital, creating a sense of pride and making employees feel like they’re part of the solution. There ya have it folks... Everyone’s mother will tell you, hitchhiking is extremely dangerous. Let’s Cut to the Chase: is Hitchhiking Dangerous? The short answer is, “Considerably less than we’ve been told.” Specific information is incredibly difficult to find easily, perhaps because the drastically low number of incidents doesn’t warrant such a study. We’ve dug deep though, and these are our findings. From 1979 to 2009, there were 675 reported victims of sexual assault and murder along Interstate Highways. According to a study by the Office of Justice Programs, hitchhikers are involved in 0.26% of accidents and 0.63% of crimes. In terms of major crimes, hitchhikers are 71.7% of victims and 28.3% of perpetrators. The study also found that female hitchhikers are seven times more likely to be victims of crime than males, and about 80% of crimes against female hitchhikers are sex-related.

There ya have it folks... It's striking, just how many there are out there that don't play well with others. The phrase "plays well with others" is often used to describe children who are cooperative and amiable, but can also be used to describe adults who are aggressive or competitive in their work interactions. Some types of people who may not work well in teams include: Passive aggressive These people may struggle to communicate calmly with their team and may be perceived as negative or prickly. People who are angry These people may be motivated by misplaced passion and may not appreciate what it's like to be on the receiving end of their anger. Here are some things you can do when a team member is not contributing: *Identify the root cause *Communicate clearly and respectfully *Set goals and monitor progress *Involve others if needed *Consider alternatives or consequences *Learn from the experience *Establish clear expectations *Outline clear communication channels and reinforce their use *Set up regular check-ins to facilitate dialogue and ensure that all team members are informed Here are some qualities that can make a great team player: *Understand your role *Welcome collaboration *Hold yourself accountable *Be flexible *Have a positive attitude *Commit to the team And if all else fails...you can also try reassign them, even informally, to better showcase their skill sets or offer them new ways to learn. There ya have it folks... Ummmm... In order to keep your own butt safe, you should never carry tools in your hands while climbing a ladder. Instead, you should use a tool belt for small tools and a hoist line or gin wheel for larger items. Carrying tools in your hands can make it harder to maintain balance and stability. Here are a gew more ladder safety tips: *Maintain three points of contact: Always use two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand. *Face the ladder: Keep your body centered between both side rails. *Keep your weight evenly distributed: *Don't lean out while climbing. *Clean your boots: Remove mud, snow, and other slippery substances before climbing. *Make sure rungs are clear: Check your footing before descending. *Don't move the ladder while standing on it: Always make sure people and equipment are off the ladder before moving or closing it. Circuit breakers that were recently replaced, or directly after maintenance, are likely to fail. Of course, there are many more issues with this as well! There ya have it folks... It takes more than being there to be present, but you can't be present without being there! Be there for your own safety so you can be present for theirs. Oh, and... Get off your smartphone and talk to your children. Interact with them, play with them, understand them. There is a concerning lack of time being devoted to children without the distraction of the internet. We keep it with us at all times, scrolling through while the kids play, we interact sporadically, distracted. How can we expect kids to open up to use and tell us what is really going on when they are distressed if we are always too busy looking at LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram? Don’t kid yourself that you have to keep an eye on the news or ‘it’s work’ at the end of the day, the kids just see themselves as less important. There ya have it folks... Two things... 1. Crocs and slippery surfaces don't mix. 2. Traumatic brain injury is no joke, so if you take a spill like this, monitor yourself closely! A traumatic brain injury (TBI) can occur when the head is forcefully hit, bumped, or jolted. This can cause damage to the brain's internal tissue, blood vessels, and bruising. The impact can also cause the brain to jolt backward, hitting the skull on the opposite side and creating a bruise. This is called a coup-contrecoup mechanism. Symptoms of a mild TBI can include: *Physical symptoms, such as headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, or loss of balance *Sensory symptoms, such as blurred vision, ringing in the ears, or changes in smell or taste *Cognitive, behavioral, or mental symptoms, such as confusion, disorientation, memory or concentration problems, or mood changes If you suspect a severe head injury, you should apply firm pressure to any bleeding wounds, prevent movement, and remain still while waiting for emergency medical help. You should also monitor the injured person's breathing and alertness. Minor head injuries and concussions may only require rest and will likely heal within 7–14 days. However, people with concussions should avoid physical activity for at least one week after the injury. A doctor can perform tests, such as a CT or MRI scan, to help identify the injury and assess brain function. There ya have it folks... Regardless of your occupation, there are inherent risks to any task, which makes it critical to choose wisely when selecting those who you believe will have your six! That's never more critical than those that play a leadership role for workplace safety! Because the irony is that if you want to create a safe workplace, people have to trust you. People might not always like you, but they trust that you have their best interests at heart. When people trust you, they will feel safe to speak up about safety issues, work that little bit harder and go to you when they want safety information. In other words, they will feel safe that you care about them and their health. And that your not just another member of management telling them what to do, in a veiled attempt to save costs or improve productivity. Building trust is fundamental to leadership and an important component of encouraging employees to want to work safely. And it's been that way for millennia. Back in the day when humans where roaming the African savannah, it was in our best interests to live in tribes. Becoming part of a tribe meant we could fall asleep soundly knowing that others were looking out for saber toothed tigers and snakes. And that we could eat if we were too sick to hunt because fellow tribespeople would help us out. We were able to trust that other people would look out for us and they could trust that we would look after them. In the workplace, employees need to see and feel evidence that their workplaces are safe and that their fellow co-workers are looking out for them. More importantly, workers need to trust that their boss and their safety manager really care.
