Steve was my soccer coach for over 4 years, where he guided over twenty teenagers to build physical and intellectual strength. He is an incredibly important figure in my life who taught me life-long lessons about discipline, leadership, and respect. His interpersonal skills allowed him to manage a gamut of personalities. With these skills, he seamlessly communicated among players, parents, and other teams while creatively solving problems. Through his leadership, we were able to achieve amazing results—we beat state champions, won difficult tournaments, and made life-long friendships. He is a highly motivated individual who is interested in developing others and making a difference in their life. For instance, Steve would print out articles about soccer, work-ethic, and leadership development and analyze them with the team. He believed in developing not only soccer players but future leaders--every one of his players went to college. He was an effective leader who can lead his entire team to success while maintain their motivation level and drive them on the right track. ”
