Those of you who know me well know how much I love my furry best friends, both cats and dogs. Losing my beloved Great Pyrenees Tuco in Jan. '23 was a very tough blow, but since he was my last pet over more than 20 consecutive years (having earlier lost my 2 cats), I decided to pause for a round-the-world backpacking trip, which I had planned after the loss of my first Pyr, Chaska, before caving and adopting little Tuco. While I'm not sorry I got to experience such an amazing trip, I'm delighted to announce that I've finally found the strength to move on. Welcome little Joan "Juanita" Wilder ('Nita for short), a 9-week-old rescue Pyr! She's a snugglebug who likes belly rubs and is already a daddy's girl. She especially enjoys quietly napping while I'm not busy, and then exploding with enthusiastic play time while I'm trying to work. 😄 I love her so much and can't believe it's been a year and a half without a wonderful ball of fur in my life. I hope everyone has a joyous day and if you have pets please give them a quick hug for me.
Dogs are such a wonderful blessing to share life with. Enjoy the new owner of your puppy love heart!
