“Sowmya was a mentor for me, we worked together on the development of a novel processing technology for a new plant-based meat product. We spent long brainstorming sessions ideating and understanding the fundamental needs of our project. She introduced me to project proposals and steps of product development from lab scale to de-risking the scale-up of the process. Sowmya sets high expectations for the teams she collaborates with and identifies the strengths of each member to get the most out of their skills. I highly value how Sowmya makes sure she understands the science behind the physical phenomena that a product undergoes during processing and how she easily explains it to others. I look forward to collaborating together again.”
