These courses are frequently perceived as obstacles, especially for historically disadvantaged groups such as Black and Hispanic/Latinx students.
The main objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding of how different racial groups are represented in the success rates of these courses. Through this research, we aim to uncover the influence of traditional math teaching methods on the achievement of Hispanic/Latinx and Black students. We will then use these insights to guide initiatives that address and minimize equity gaps, fostering more equitable classroom experiences.
