    Led by the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency, in conjunction with the Community College of Rhode Island, Rhode Island State Police - Joint Cyber Task Force, the Rhode Island National Guard and the Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance the Cyber Range provides a unique, hands-on testing environment where virtual elements are subject to countless simulated cyber-attacks that students and industry professionals can train and exercise within to advance their cybersecurity capabilities and to better understand the nature of cyber threats.   • Emergency Operations Center Expansion Construction Project

    PEMA started the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Expansion Construction Project in October 2012; a Ribbon Cutting was conducted on October 29, 2014. The goal is to bring additional Emergency Management capabilities such as a training center, space for extended operations and on-site storage to the City or Providence and metropolitan region. The project is funded through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOC Grant and contributions from the City of Providence.
