Really enjoyed the many conversations our team at theCUBE had the opportunity to have while at Qlik's Qlik Connect event last week. James Fisher, Qlik's chief strategy officer, shared insights on the many investments the cmopany has made at the heart of Qlik and its analytics engine, and harnessing the power of Gen AI is the key to the company's strategy around the future of data analytics. "We took that big data wave, we’ve taken that wave to cloud, and now everything that’s happening around AI and generative AI is just such a huge opportunity, but we’ve got to do it right." And getting it right includes optimizing processes, optimizing data, and getting the foundation right. And that foundation, it's everything. "Helping customers work with data wherever it resides is at the key of Qlik’s strategy. Enabling that involves a platform with best-in-class capabilities, according to Fisher. Leading responsibly with #AI is something about which the entire team at Qlik is obviously passionate about. Companies should be able to govern themselves; you can’t make the mistake of assuming you know it all. As CEO Mike Capone so succinctly said in his keynote, it's important to "have some humility" as part of this journey. No one knows it all, and in a rapidly evolving space, embracing the fact that you don't know what you don't know — until you know — is key. I'm very impressed with Qlik's formation of an AI Council, comprised of the best minds in AI, and intended to help Qlik and customers navigate the fast moving AI landscape. Qlik AI Council member Nina Schick spoke at the keynote this morning, and later on today, we'll hear from Dr. Rumman Chowdhury (who also worked under Musk at Twitter for a while), on how the council delivers value and how you can think about creating a resource like this within your organization. #theCUBEresearch #qlikconnect
