This article has a refreshing perspective on EdTech: that we must anchor our product development to the humans who are interacting with those products, and we must consider how those tools affect behaviors in the classroom. The author states, "we need to help schools think about creating balanced classroom ecologies where tech serves teachers’ and students’ goals and supports their agency and creativity." At Aeries Software, we believe education is a human right and learning gives life to ideas, hopes, and dreams. The tools we create support real humans in real classrooms, and those students and educators have the power to use technology to pursue their own journeys and to define success on their own terms. We work hard to empower them, never to impede them.

Four weeks, three countries, and three conferences, one in each country! It was rewarding and exciting to connect with so many of my fellow L&D geeks at #ATD, #LearnTec, and the Canadian eLearning Conference, making new connections, and learning about what's happening in our L&D world. Some takeaways: 🤖 Everyone is figuring out how AI fits into their world. I mainly heard conversations about content creation but also MANY voices that caution us to not create "more s*%#$ content". I applaud those organizations. There is less conversation about the strategy side of things. I hope we can get this right, now is our chance and the right time! ✅ Accessibility is becoming more and more prominent (as it should). It can never be an afterthought, it needs to be part of your design from the get-go. Let's do better and make our learning offerings inclusive. 💡 Myths-busting is on the rise. I'm very happy to see that L&D pros have started to question models, frameworks, and ideas that have long been debunked (learning styles anyone?!). I have been in this field all my professional life and have been pushing the envelope on many issues and I'm happy and proud that there is finally some movement in the right direction: asking the tough questions, being thought and business partners to the organizations we support, and showing up strong to lead our learners through these exciting times!
