After seeing 1000’s of blockchain engineering CV’s in the blockchain space, I want to share some tips and common mistakes 👇 😑 Mistakes: ❌ Too many pages (Less is better; use bullet points instead of paragraphs). ❌ Inadequate information about the tech stack used for specific experiences. ❌ Lack of dates or time frames for experiences. ❌ Excessive use of colors and overdesign. 🎩 Tips: ✅ Utilize numbers/data to summarize your impact in different positions. ✅ Maintain simplicity and organization; the tech stack section is crucial. ✅ Include links to your GitHub (most important), LinkedIn, Twitter, or other relevant platforms. ✅ Avoid overly boastful language and use factual statements, supported by numbers where possible. I highlighted two ways you can earn $1,000+ working without skills in Web3. Today, I'll highlight the best way to secure more than $5,000 in passive income working in Web3. A prerequisite for this is having knowledge of finding early-stage crypto projects. But before I continue, if you missed Numbers 3 and 2, here are links to catch up: • Number 3: (https://lnkd.in/dWc4RNx6) * Number 2: (https://lnkd.in/dPFw4avi) You need to understand that early-stage projects currently fundraising are always: 1. Very desperate to raise capital to fund their project. 2. Open to raising privately from KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders). Many of these projects have founders who aren't very well connected but do have solid products. How can you leverage this to earn? • First: Connect these projects to VCs and Accelerators. This was one of the first jobs I did when I got started in crypto. VCs are currently sourcing good projects to invest in, and my work at Exo Ventures then was to source out these projects for investment while I earned a commission. These ventures typically invest over $100k+ in these projects. “Are you beginning to imagine how much commission you'll earn if you close one successful deal?” - Crazy right? • Second: Connect Projects Doing Fundraising to KOL Groups for Investment. KOL Funding groups offer projects a pool investment from KOLs in exchange for early access to their token and purchasing the token at a cheaper price than the general public sale. If you connect a project to a KOL group, you'll get a commission from each KOL who invests in the project, based on your agreement with the founder. How Did I Find Early-Stage Projects? 1. Events Groups: Major crypto events typically have communities filled with founders looking to push their projects during the events. 2. VC Channels: VCs also make announcements about the projects they invest in, and most of the time, these projects haven't closed their fundraising yet during these announcements. 3. Curating a Twitter List of Founders on My Twitter How Do I Approach the Founders? Approach the founder with a cold DM, stating that you have a VC interested in making an investment in the project. Then, when the founder is interested, you can start cold-pitching VCs about the project. The Risk: The risk in this line of passive income is that most projects or founders will offer you token commission, which could take time for the token to become liquid (easily convertible to cash).
