    The Latino Business Action Network (LBAN), is a not-for-profit organization that aims at strengthening the American economy by empowering Latino entrepreneurs to substantially grow their companies, develop leadership skills and spawn a new generation of successful entrepreneurs. LBAN complements the Stanford University Executive Education educational program with valuable access to capital, personal business mentorship, and access to an engaged alumni network which now includes several hundred Latino and Latina business owners. I was honored to take part as a mentor on Cohort 8. The program consisted of 77 entrepreneurs with combined annual revenue of $550M.

    Spark inspires middle school young adults in underserved communities to succeed in high school and beyond by engaging them with mentors and future careers. During a nine-week period, I mentored a 13-year-old in the development of a science project. In the final week of the program, we introduced our initiative in a science fair venue with hundreds of other program participants, teachers, and parents.

    Poverty Alleviation

    The Giving Spirit coordinates handout of "survival" packages across the Los Angeles greater metro area. These kits are specifically designed to help people experiencing homelessness survive their harsh realities. As a volunteer I had the chance to be part of a diverse team that helped assemble over 1200 survival packs distributed across Los Angles. I also had the opportunity to spend quality one-on-one time interacting with our clients that benefited from these essential packs.
