What do you do if AI professionals are struggling to adapt to new technologies in their careers?
This is more about change management than tech. Changing behavior is hard. Here a 3 things to consider: 1. Inspire what's possible with AI by showcasing applied use cases relevant to their function. 2. Align top use cases to strategic initiatives. It has a better shot at getting adopted because it has owners, goals, timeline, resources, budget, and measurements. 3. Plan for AI Ops to avoid the Wild Wild West. Need an AI Council to guide responsible use, data strategy, training/collaboration, AI tool evaluation/use, etc. But we can't underestimate the power of a leader/CEO that prioritizes responsible AI as a way forward for the business and drives a responsible AI culture.

How can you increase your visibility in the AI industry?
Being deeply curious, infusing AI into our work, and continuously learning are foundational to increasing our visibility in AI. Knowledge is our currency, and sharing it with others on this AI learning journey that we are all on will increase our visibility. Share and help others. Learn and collaborate with others. Engage in social media, communities, Slack, and meet-ups. Speak and participate in podcasts, webinars, and events. Build your brand on social platforms like LinkedIn, contribute articles, and write blogs. Lead/articipate in lunch & learns and AI initiatives at work. A rising tide lifts all boats. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. Be an advocate for going together and raise your visibility in AI

How can you use adaptability to advance your AI career?
Being intensely curious about how to infuse AI and use it responsibly in all aspects of our work helps unlock possibilities. Think about using it not just to improve efficiency but to improve quality and make ideas better. Being deeply curious will allow us to explore and push the boundaries of AI. Why stop at content creation? Use it for collaboration and ideation, analytics and data-driven analysis, automation, and personalization. In addition to adapting to AI innovation and pushing its abilities, ensure that we also adapt and take into consideration changes in the market and user behaviors in our work. Being adaptable in many areas to drive increasing business value can help advance our careers.

How can you overcome imposter syndrome in AI?
Overcoming imposter syndrome in AI, especially in generative AI, is a learning journey for everyone. AI, especially generative AI is a learning journey for all. Much like it's hard to understand how the human mind works, it is just as hard to understand how AI works, even for those developing the technology. Unlike past industry inflection points, AI requires getting our hands dirty. It’s as though OpenAI dumped a bunch of powerful Lego pieces at our doorstep, without a picture or instructions for what to build. It is up to us to learn, build, share, and inspire others. It's crucial that we give ourselves grace and respect each individual's unique position in their learning journey.
