𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Students who sign up for mentoring programs often simply need someone to acknowledge their strengths, connect them with people and resources, and cheer them on. I know that mentors and sponsors made a big difference for me in how I see myself and what I’ve been able to do. Like much of the volunteering I do, I feel I gain as much or more than I give.
