My uncle, comedian Louie Anderson, once commented on a podcast that you never really learn anything from a compliment. You learn and grow through criticism and feedback. Even if it seems harsh or raw, there is some part of that reflection that can be a kernel of truth that you can use to springboard into a new perspective on how to improve your design skills.
