Predictability. That's what a lot of Stacker's publishing partners are looking for. They want to know the same refreshed content will come down the wires at the same time each week. They can anticipate it. They can build a reader engagement strategy around it. And they can confidently redeploy reporters to other projects long-term. I learned how important these franchises are first-hand when I was at The Associated Press and tasked with changing how we structure our lottery results. I still have battle scars from that project. 😅 But beyond horoscopes, lottery results, and sports scores, what other franchises can we develop? Last year, Stacker produced a monthly series on the items in grocery stores that were shifting in price the most. Our gas prices series continues to be picked up regularly. And we're excited to now be partnering with Backstage, a powerhouse in the entertainment industry since 1960. Every week, we'll syndicate casting calls in each of the 50 states courtesy of Backstage. And it’s not just for professional actors…anyone looking to make a side hustle as an extra should keep an eye out too. ❓ What other weekly fixtures or franchises would engage YOUR readers the most? https://lnkd.in/eGbPDait

As a content creator, I was intrigued by an article I recently stumbled upon in the June issue of Philadelphia Magazine titled "How Philly Learned to Love AI" written by Malcolm Burnley. The article discusses the various ways AI is being used and provides insightful examples, such as The Philadelphia Orchestra's implementation, which for me was a lovely surprise. While I'm no expert on the subject, I found this article to be a great read for anyone interested in AI technology. #AI #technology #PhiladelphiaMagazine

I appreciate how Alice Maggiore emphasized that PR, advertising, and marketing* are all different fields although there is overlap (and that’s usually because of a lack of resources). As the region grows, our communicators need the resources, either in-house or through agency support to manage internal growth effectively! * Not to mention design, video production, social media management, web development, event planning, etc that all falls into the “communications” bucket!

This one is for all the OTC health and wellness marketers. In 2022 the FTC updated its Endorsement Guides to acknowledge the proliferation of video content on social media platforms, including platforms like TikTok and Instagram. The FTC's updated guidelines now explicitly include provisions for video content, recognizing its growing importance in influencer marketing and endorsements. Here’s an example from a recent collab with our partners at Walmart that highlights OTC health and wellness products for Spring Allergy season.

#Personalization is considered table stakes for marketing today--but is it really as easy as it seems? New research from Epsilon shows that consumers view brands negatively when they include inaccurate information about them in their advertising messages, and what's more, 91% of consumers see at least one irrelevant ad every day. One might say the stakes are much higher than the table. Check out the infographic for more insight, and be sure to download both pieces of research for the full scoop:

But what does this year’s celebration, colored by an uptick in Italian anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, reveal about the state of Pride marketing? June is a tricky month for marketers. Rainbow-colored campaigns to recognize LGBTQ+ Pride month drop in hordes, seemingly categorized by the masses as complete failures or merely tolerable in an instant. LGBTQ+ advertisers discuss on Ad Age the challenges of June campaigns today and how to do Pride right going forward. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/edGiYy5B #lgbtq #advertising #diversityandinclusion

When crisis management becomes a strategic imperative. Here's a recap from our latest G-CMO Panel Discussion at Startup Nation Central, alongside PR maven Leron Kornreich and my talented colleagues Aliza Tamir and Ari C. Applbaum about redefining PR success in today's dynamic landscape. 🔟 key takeaways from my talk about proactive crisis communication for Israeli companies on the global stage: 💡There's no one-size-fits-all answer. 💡Transparency is Key: A well-defined communication strategy is crucial. Silence can be misconstrued as indifference. Proactive communication can help manage the narrative and mitigate reputational risks. 💡Opportunity to Shape the Narrative: By engaging with the media, companies have a chance to clarify their position, values, and actions during the conflict. 💡Level of Impact: Where's a company’s main market? What stage is the company at financially? Business continuity is a consideration -- can you afford to potentially lose customers by speaking out? 💡Company Values: Companies known for strong values may be more inclined to take a stand, even if it risks angering some. 💡Story's Narrative: How does the story align with the company's values? Does it present an opportunity to showcase resilience and business practices? 💡Target Market Impact: How will media coverage affect your brand reputation in different markets? 💡Crisis Communication Opportunity: Can the situation be used to promote a positive image through effective communication? The CEO's persona matters too! ⭐ Leadership Style: Outspoken CEOs might be more inclined to take a public stance during conflicts. Media savvy leaders even more so. But cautious CEOs might prefer a measured approach. ⭐ Authenticity Matters: Don't try to exploit a crisis or fake its impact. ---- PR guru Leron Kornreich of Si14 Global Communications gave a superb talk about Tailored Strategies: encouraged Marketing leads to forget cookie-cutter solutions and emphasized the need for customized plans that align with specific business goals. #MeasureWhatMatters Aliza Tamir, CMO of SNC shared insights about "Israeli Tech Delivers No Matter What" campaign, which gained significant traction following the October 7th war and was the epitome of a 'by the industry for the industry' initiative. Ari C. Applbaum gave first-hand advice about the broader challenges faced by Israeli companies on the global stage. Thanks Shiri Grosbard, Sophie Melnik Amitay, Orit Cohen, for the invite to talk. 📷 Sabine Sharon #crisismanagment, #PRSucccess, #MarketingStrategies, #NoMatterWhat

A familiar name in The Philadelphia Inquirer piece on the recent TikTok ban debate 👀 I'm honored to be included alongside Amy Jennette with GoDaddy. My advice: - Plan Ahead: Begin testing new strategies to fully launch in 2025. - Consider Alternative Platforms: Curate content for Reels or Youtube Shorts. - Explore Collaborations: As an influencer, diversify your portfolio. Consider adding multiple channels to your contracts and explore other partnerships. I'd like to hear from you! Do you think a TikTok ban is likely? What advice would you give to small businesses? Comment below.
