B2B sampling is crucial, an area where clients should pay keen attention. Ask your suppliers for details on their sampling approach, and as with everything least expensive may not provide the greatest value. So, just among us friends here... can we have a candid conversation about market research agency profit margins? 💸💸💸 What are you seeing? I've been hearing anecdotally that profit margins (EBITDA) are currently painfully low for many agencies, 5% or less. In contrast, just a few years ago, I personally knew of several in the 15-25% range. Of course, there are always high-end outliers—agencies that command higher rates or have economies of scale. But what's the reality for most market research agencies these days? I know this is a sensitive topic, but I think it's a necessary starting point for a realistic and useful discussion on improving agency profitability. And hey, if you think I'm way off base, please tell me I'm wrong! I'd be happy to hear that many agencies are in a more comfortable 20-25% EBITDA range these days! #marketresearchagency #mrxagency
