We recently hosted a conversation around maximizing the superpower of empathy in the workplace. 5 Tips included: *Be curious. Ask questions to understand. *Validate feelings in the situation. *Involve employees in decision-making when possible. *Challenge your own assumptions and biases. *Ask how you can help.

Your employees are struggling to adapt to new work conditions. How can you help them adjust?
Our organization encourages "anchor days". These are pre-planned days that colleagues come into the office. There is usually an event or theme that brings people together, like Townhall meetings, food trucks or onsite massage chairs. These days boosts morale and provides for thoughtful collaboration. It's a great way to give a break from remote work.

What do you do if your team members are hesitant to give and receive feedback from each other?
I find that when I'm able to share my successes or challenges with my team, it puts them at ease to share theirs. Recognizing that we are all in it together and are truly invested in helping one another or celebrating successes together provides for an open atmosphere of giving and receiving .

You need to expand your professional network. How can you do it beyond your organization?
One thing that's important to me when I'm reaching out to Talent specifically is to make it about them. I ask "What's important to you in your next career move?" Or, "Would you be open to an exploratory conversation about your career goals?" I'm genuinely interested in learning more about them. This is a great way to get a conversation started.
