    On August 1st, 2019 Promontory released Select Risk Management Practices of Global Insurers: A Benchmarking and Call-to-Action, a report examining important risk management practices of a diverse group of leading property/casualty, life, and multi-line insurance companies.

    The benchmark was conducted via a series of interviews with the chief risk officers of participating insurers, and focused on four key risk domains identified as areas where participants sought to make improvement:

    - Strategic
    - Operational
    - Cybersecurity
    - Compliance

    For each domain, the report explores convergence and divergence in practice, highlights leading practices, and presents key findings and calls-to-action. In addition, the report provides a preliminary assessment of how efficient insurers have been with their risk management resources.

    Promontory’s overall findings indicate that insurers have significant opportunities to improve existing practices in each domain.
