How can you pivot after a Social Media account hack?
Take the time to rework a contingency plan, and develop multiple ones, if possible. Try to operate with the worst case possible, including the lost of important data. Host workshops and internal meetings to brief staff regarding best practices and how to communicate suspicious activity. Being proactive by monitoring accounts and updating passwords are strong ways to mitigate future hacks.

How can you pivot after a Social Media account hack?
In my experience, addressing the issue head-on and as quickly as possible is helpful to get past it. Acknowledge what happened and apologize, where necessary. Encourage users that you are open to answering questions and concerns can be directed to a separate landing page or email address for further review. Also, thank your audience for their support. If applicable, make light of the situation if nothing disastrous occurred but note that the incident won't happen again.

How can you pivot after a Social Media account hack?
One way to secure your account is to make it a regular task as part of security protocols. Change your password at least twice a year and whenever an employee or team members has/have changed roles. Enable two-factor authentication and test it to ensure notifications are going to the appropriate staff. Limit the number of people who have access to the account and make sure everyone who does have access is aware of the contact information for the platform's support team.
