You’re looking to automate your partnership management. What are the best tools to use?
Automation can be useful for large networks of opportunistic referral partners, as a way to maintain "mindshare" so that they remember you when an opportunity pops up. I am skeptical about the value of automation for strategic partnerships, which tend to be more personalized and interactive. We are also finding that there is "portal fatigue". Partners have too many vendors with different platforms, and they often can't be bothered to log in.

What are the most common mistakes when entering a new market?
European companies don't understand the importance of marketing in the U.S. In Europe it is easier to get a meeting with a DM, and have the time to explain the value of your product. In the U.S., because there is so much competition for mindshare, companies have to spend millions to establish awareness and credibility before they can get time with a DM. That is also a big reason why funding rounds in the U.S. are many times larger than in Europe.
