Summer Shorts Chicago
Heather Anderson, Kayce Bayer, and Young Cho organized the event Summer Shorts. We worked as a team to review submissions, organized the order, created promotional collateral and organized the event. Paul Luikart selected all of the writers for the event. It was a blast. I was sad when it was over.

Traveling Truck Show

“The Great Fire: a Traveling Truck Show” was a performing arts event that toured Chicago in October 2012 with a moving truck as our pop-up stage, stopping at community sites to perform for the public for FREE. Reviving the form of early American traveling shows and referencing Chicago neighborhood histories after the Great Fire of 1871, we engaged audiences with storytelling, music, comedy, multimedia dioramas, and more.

I won the student competition at an Icograda Conference in Seattle, Designing for a Changing World, 2006. I was awarded a workshop at Fabrica, in Treviso, Italy, in 2007, for my work at the conference.

Above and Beyond
Shelton High School
After seeing teachers going beyond what they were required to do in order to build their programs to better serve the community and students, Rick Wells, the principal, created the Award, Above and Beyond for Shelton High School in 2003. I was awarded one the first two awards given at the school, for writing the grants and curriculum to start the new 3-D program. 2 teachers were selected out of 78 teachers at the end of the school year.
