Getting Out of the Box: A Business Case for Engaging Senior Leaders in the Field
PSI Impact Magazine
In 2010, Pfizer expanded volunteer opportunities for employees through the Global Health Teams program, and in 2014 created a Global Health Team project for a group of Pfizer senior executives. The goal was to bring company leaders into the field to engage in and support Pfizer’s commitment to improving healthcare services for global underserved communities. Working with PSI, a global non-governmental organization, the 12-person executive team participated in a 10-day pro bono assignment…

The goal was to bring company leaders into the field to engage in and support Pfizer’s commitment to improving healthcare services for global underserved communities. They volunteered their skills and expertise to help PSI find better ways to support its consumer base and provided the Pfizer executives with a greater understanding of global development’s role in our business.
